Enjoy the simple pleasure of your children’s laughter and excitement when they land their first rainbow trout or complete their first two mile hike to Lilly Lake. Gray Eagle Lodge provides any young explorer with a variety of adventures to conquer.
Our swimming hole, below Graeagle Creek waterfall, is irresistible for swimming and rubber raft play. The warm water of the Sand Pond is five miles away. Our fishing expert can guide young and old alike to their limit. Bring a “treasure” bag for the archeologist in the family. Our easy nature trail hikes offer a cache of discoveries. The Kentucky Mine, and gold prospecting in the Yuba River offer old-fashion fortune hunting.
The town of Graeagle offers miniature golf, a driving range, trail rides, tennis, and the Mill Pond. Portola, a short fifteen minute drive, hosts the Railroad and Train Museum. Driving an old locomotive is the highlight for most children (and adults)! If high-speed adventure is more attractive, try Sierra Touring Company's ATV tours in the Sierra Valley.
Basketball, volleyball, and badminton round out the activities closer to home. While the Lodge game room hosts pool and ping pong.
Night time brings a whole new set of adventures with roasting marshmallows for S’Mores, and a lodge-wide game of flash light tag.
If your four-legged kids need an adventure, they, too, can mark their spot at Gray Eagle Lodge!
